Zagreb, Croatia -- The museum is not as old as its 1902 domed building which fronts on the park-like Mažuranićevo square. It was built as space to boost trade as a chamber of commerce hall. The museum started later with the donation of the textile collection of industrialist Salamon Berger. Today it has about 80,000 items and features Croatian folk costumes. Note how the upper window arch presages the dome peaking over the roof.
