You're looking at the Hammer house. Friends of Eileen and Francis, the Hammers moved to Garden City where Dick Hammer (who became Garden City's first full-time judge) opened his law practice in some of the vacant room's in Francis's dentist office. Dick later moved across Ford Road. Eileen knew his sister, Marge, from their days at Nazareth college in Kalamazoo, MI. This house, we believe, was built by the Hollands. The husband was the second mayor of Garden City, following Arnold Folker who built 31211 -- making Brown Street mayors' row.
