Bergamo, Lomardy, Italy -- July 2006 -- On each of the eight corners are 14th century Virtu -- statues of the virtues from Verona. The inside was not open but contains (what else) a font and statue of Saint John the Baptist. The Greeks had 4 virtues and the Christians added 3 more: Faith (seen here as Fides), hope and love. What's on the 8th corner? I'd guess Justice -- a virtue added later.
